![]() By the time she could try and resume her horrendous sales pitch I ran to the counter and told her I just wanted to check out. Thankfully the phone rang and she ran to answer it. Then about two minutes later this younger girl who works at the store approaches me and goes, "I know the last thing you probably want is for someone to start chatting you up while you're looking at this stuff.but umm.do you own a DS? You do? Well, what kind of games do you like? Obscure you like Final Fantasy? No?.? Hmm.ooh, you own a 360, right? So, umm, you should totally get Darksiders.Īnd then she blathered on about the game for about 3 minutes while I wanted to kill myself. The store manager - who I've seen plenty of times before - asks me if I need any help, I say no thanks, just looking and she was cool about it. I go in, see the game, pick it up, then wanted to just look over some games and prices for a few minutes. So, anyways, after a long day at work I decided to stop off at the GameStop nearby and grab a used copy of R6V2(used to own it, my friend wants to play it again and kill terrorists in the name of freedom and lower gas prices, plus I badly need a break from my board-game project). OK, if you aren't interested in reading about my experience at GS, please just answer: At your local GameStop do the employees come up to you while you're browsing and harass you, ask you questions, try to get you to buy things you don't want? Job stress sucks.īut.it's Thursday, so on my lunch break.D&A today! Seriously, that show gets me through the week sometimes. Given, the experience at GS was still annoying, but really not that big of a deal. EDIT: I must have been more angry about work yesterday than I thought.
